Ghibli classics in 4K IMAX
Studio Ghibli's Whisper of the Heart and The Secret World of Arrietty are coming to North American IMAX screens in 4K on April 21 and May 19 [https://hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/studio-ghiblis-whisper-of-the-heart-the-secret-world-of-arrietty-imax-release-north-america-1236525990].
This marks the first time either film will be shown in IMAX in North America. GKIDS is distributing both films in collaboration with Fathom Events. This partnership has brought other Ghibli films to US theaters. *Whisper of the Heart* originally premiered in Japan in 1995, while *Arrietty* debuted in 2010. Both were previously directed by Ghibli veterans: Yoshifumi Kondō and Hiromasa Yonebayashi, respectively.
