Lil Uzi Confirms New Album

Lil Uzi Vert revealed a new album is dropping this year while co-signing up-and-coming artist 2slimey. Uzi explained recent singles were "for the streets" while the upcoming album will be a major release. He also gave 2slimey a high-profile co-sign, potentially launching another artist's career.

This forthcoming album follows Lil Uzi Vert's 2023 project, *Pink Tape*, which was the first rap album of that year to top the Billboard 200 charts. However, his most recent album, *Eternal Atake 2* (2024), experienced significantly lower first-week sales compared to his previous major releases. In late 2025, Uzi initiated a new phase of his career by signing a distribution deal with Roc Nation. This partnership allows Uzi to release music independently while owning his master recordings, joining Jay-Z and Rihanna as one of the only artists managed and distributed by the company. The first tracks under this new deal were "Chanel Boy" and "Relevant," released in November 2025. Uzi has since clarified that these recent singles are distinct from his major album releases, which he typically drops with more fanfare. For the upcoming album's aesthetic, Uzi has announced a deliberate shift away from the popular goth trend. He stated in an interview that he wants to "change the scene" and will be embracing a "steampunk" visual and sonic direction. The co-signed artist, 2slimey, is an avant-garde rapper from Oklahoma City named Sergio Garcia. Born in 2006, he first gained viral attention in 2024 with the song "shrimp" and released his debut studio album, *High Anxiety*, in November 2025. Uzi's praise for the up-and-coming artist was definitive. In an interview, he was seen playing 2slimey's music and said, "2slimey took the end of 2025. I can't even think about nobody else."
