NationGraph Raises $18M for Public Sector AI

NationGraph, an AI intelligence platform for government sales, has completed an $18 million Series A funding round. The company's platform analyzes a blend of location, behavioral, and demographic data to help businesses identify and navigate public sector contract opportunities. The funding validates the growing demand for applying location analytics to enterprise and B2G (business-to-government) workflows.

The latest funding round was led by Menlo Ventures, with participation from the Perplexity Fund, XYZ Venture Capital, and Reach Capital. This brings NationGraph's total funding to $22.5 million since its founding in 2024 by CEO Kimia Hamidi and CTO Eden Ding. The fresh capital is earmarked for expanding the platform's data coverage and enhancing its predictive "Signals" engine. This engine analyzes data from millions of public sector sources to provide users with predictive intelligence on government purchasing decisions. NationGraph's platform indexes data from approximately 110,000 government entities across roughly four million websites. Its key features include automating public records requests and identifying key buyers within government departments, complete with validated email addresses. The company aims to address the information asymmetry in public sector sales, where success has often depended on insider knowledge. By parsing meeting minutes, purchase orders, and budget documents, the platform surfaces opportunities before a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) is even issued. This investment reflects a broader trend of AI adoption in public procurement to increase efficiency and transparency. Government spending on AI is on the rise, with federal agencies in the United States committing $5.6 billion to AI between 2022 and 2024. Competitors in the location intelligence space, such as Placer.ai, have also seen significant adoption by government agencies for applications like economic development and tourism analytics. Government contracts for such location analytics platforms typically range from $8,000 to $27,000 annually.
