HBX Group and Traveloka Expand APAC Partnership

HBX Group and Indonesian travel platform Traveloka have expanded their strategic partnership to strengthen travel supply chains in the Asia-Pacific region. The deal aims to accelerate global distribution and provide broader inventory for travel agents, capitalizing on the region's post-pandemic travel rebound.

This expanded partnership will see Traveloka integrate over 40,000 of its directly contracted hotels in the Asia-Pacific region into HBX Group's supply network. The agreement, which deepens a multi-year commercial relationship, was officially signed at HBX Group's MarketHub Asia event in Bali. The collaboration is reciprocal; while HBX Group gains access to Traveloka's extensive, locally-sourced inventory, Traveloka will leverage HBX Group's global wholesale distribution network to enhance its own outbound travel offerings for its large Southeast Asian user base. This two-way integration aims to improve hotel availability and pricing competitiveness in key APAC destinations. The deal comes as the APAC region's travel sector shows a strong recovery, reaching 92.6% of pre-pandemic international visitor arrivals in the first half of 2025. Projections show the regional tourism market is expected to grow from USD 165.9 billion in 2026 to USD 317.4 billion by 2036. A significant driver of this rebound is intra-regional travel, which is expected to account for approximately 80% of the growth in APAC inbound travel over the next decade. This trend underscores the strategic importance of combining Traveloka's deep local hotel supply with HBX Group's global distribution capabilities. Traveloka, founded in 2012, has become a dominant force in Southeast Asia's digital travel market, with over 40 million monthly active users and 140 million app downloads. The company has focused on a "Stay Local" strategy, building strong partnerships with local suppliers and tailoring its offerings to each market. HBX Group, a B2B travel technology marketplace, operates a massive distribution network connecting travel suppliers with over 60,000 travel distributors in more than 170 countries. The company's platform processes around 8 billion searches per day, highlighting the scale of the network Traveloka's inventory will now be a part of.
