His 30-point performance extended his NBA record for consecutive road games with at least 20 points to 59. This win completed a season sweep for the Thunder against the Mavericks, giving them a 3-0 record in their head-to-head matchups for the season. The defending champion Thunder improved to 47-15, keeping them just a half-game behind the Detroit Pistons for the best record in the NBA and maintaining a three-game lead over the second-place San Antonio Spurs in the West.
