Alan Walker Drops New Ava Max Collab

Alan Walker's newest collaboration with Ava Max, THE CALLING, is already resonating with EDM fans and trending on YouTube. Early listener reactions highlight the track's signature Walker production style with cinematic synths, driving beats, and anthemic vocals from Ava Max. The collaboration demonstrates the ongoing trend of cross-genre partnerships driving streaming success.

This isn't the first time the Norwegian DJ and the American pop singer have joined forces. Their 2019 track, "Alone, Pt. II," was a sequel to Walker's 2016 hit "Alone" and successfully paired his melodic production with Max's powerful vocals. The song was a commercial success, charting in the top 10 in several European countries, including Norway, Belgium, and Poland. The official music video for "Alone, Pt. II" is a chapter in Walker's larger "World of Walker" cinematic universe, serving as a sequel to the video for his track "On My Way." Filmed in the stunning and massive Sơn Đoòng cave in Vietnam, the video follows an archaeologist exploring a lost civilization, with neither Walker nor Max making an appearance. A separate live performance video was also filmed at the historic Château de Fontainebleau in France. Alan Walker has a long history of blockbuster collaborations with female vocalists. His breakthrough 2015 single "Faded" featured the uncredited vocals of Norwegian singer Iselin Solheim, who also sang on "Sing Me to Sleep." He has since worked with artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Au/Ra, and Noah Cyrus. Ava Max is also a frequent collaborator in the EDM world, lending her distinct dance-pop voice to tracks with other major DJs. In 2024, she released "Whatever" with fellow Norwegian DJ Kygo, and later that year, she worked with David Guetta on a rework of the classic "Forever Young." Walker has continued to expand on his musical series, releasing "Better Off (Alone, Pt. III)" in 2023 with Dash Berlin and Vikkstar. He has maintained a steady release schedule with albums like 2021's *World of Walker* and 2023's *Walkerworld*, which he supported with extensive global tours. Meanwhile, Ava Max has solidified her status as a pop mainstay with her albums *Heaven & Hell* (2020) and *Diamonds & Dancefloors* (2023). Following a management change and a social media hiatus, Max announced her third studio album, *Don't Click Play*, for release in 2025.
