Detroit's 'Dilla Delights' Food Truck Opens Oakland County Restaurant

The popular Detroit-based food truck Dilla Delights is expanding its operations by opening its first permanent dine-in location. The new restaurant will be located in Oakland County. - The new restaurant is located at 32275 Stephenson Highway in Madison Heights, in the space of the former Madison Club Bar and Grill. - Brothers and chefs Mike and Ahmad Nassar started the business as a food truck in 2014, situated on Fort Street near the Ambassador Bridge in Detroit. - The food truck gained a following for its sandwiches, such as the Detroit-style cheesesteak and Fisher Freeway Fish, as well as its garlic cilantro fries. - Before committing to the permanent location, the owners tested the market with a pop-up restaurant at the former Sears Auto Center near Oakland Mall. - The interior of the new Madison Heights restaurant has a "retro-diner aesthetic," with terrazzo-style floors and tabletops made from recycled Faygo pop bottles. - The new establishment represents a $1.5 million investment and is expected to create 25 full-time jobs. - Detroit 75 Kitchen has received national recognition, with US Weekly ranking it as one of the top three food trucks in the country. - For Lent, the restaurant plans to offer a special menu featuring a variety of fish sandwiches, including catfish and Lake Erie walleye, as well as fish and chips and a shrimp po' boy.
