Gushwork Makes $9M Seed Deck Public

Nayrhit B, founder of AI lead-gen startup Gushwork, has publicly released the exact pitch deck that raised a $9M seed round led by Susquehanna and Lightspeed. The move provides a transparent playbook for other founders navigating a tough fundraising climate, showing what top investors want to see for an AI-native workflow automation tool.

The $9M seed round for Gushwork, announced February 26, 2026, boosted the startup's post-money valuation to $33 million. This follows a $2.1 million pre-seed round in July 2023, bringing the company's total funding to $11 million. The round saw participation from B Capital, Seaborne Capital, Beenext, Sparrow Capital, and 2.2 Capital. Gushwork pivoted from a general business process outsourcing model to focus specifically on "answer engine optimization." The company now uses autonomous AI agents to help businesses improve their visibility on AI-powered search platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini, aiming to disrupt the $80 billion+ digital marketing and SEO industry. This addresses the growing challenge of brands becoming invisible as B2B buyers shift from traditional search to conversational AI for research. The company has demonstrated significant traction with its pure SaaS model, reaching $1.5 million in annual recurring revenue within 90 days of its beta launch. Gushwork reports 50% to 80% month-over-month growth and serves over 300 paying customers, primarily high-ticket B2B service providers and industrial distributors in the U.S. An additional 800+ businesses are on a waitlist. Gushwork's subscription plans range from approximately $800 to $2,200 per month. The company claims that clients see a significant return on investment, with some generating 10-15 qualified inquiries per month and one professional services client closing between $200,000 and $350,000 in contracts after adopting the platform. Lead investor Lightspeed has been an active backer of AI, investing over $5.5 billion in more than 165 AI-native companies. The firm recently closed over $9 billion in new funds to double down on the sector, signaling strong investor confidence in AI's transformative potential. Similarly, Susquehanna Growth Equity has been actively investing in AI-powered software and services companies. The funding environment for AI startups remains robust, with such companies attracting about a third of all global venture capital in 2024. The median pre-money valuation for an AI seed round in 2024 was $17.9 million, significantly higher than for non-AI companies, highlighting the premium investors place on AI-native solutions.
