Gordon Ramsay Launches Child Hunger Campaign

Gordon Ramsay, Nyesha Arrington, and Richard Blais launched the #PutChildHungerToBed campaign with Feed the Children and FOX. The initiative features a playful #PJsInPublic social media challenge where people wear pajamas outside to raise awareness and funds to end child hunger.

The campaign is an extension of Feed the Children's year-round "Put Child Hunger to Bed" initiative, which aims to provide children with the necessary food and resources for their well-being. The social media challenge encourages participants to post photos or videos of themselves in pajamas in public spaces, using the hashtag #PutChildHungerToBed and tagging @FeedtheChildrenorg. Participants are asked to nominate others to take part within 24 hours or to make a donation instead. In addition to the social media challenge, a public service announcement featuring Ramsay, Arrington, and Blais will air on FOX during the new season of *Next Level Chef*. FOX has also made a significant financial contribution to the initiative. This collaboration is not the first time Gordon Ramsay and FOX have partnered with Feed the Children. In March 2024, they teamed up for a month-long social media campaign with *MasterChef Junior* to raise awareness about child hunger during National Nutrition Month. Ramsay has also been involved in other initiatives to combat food insecurity, including offering free meals for children at his UK restaurants during school holidays. Feed the Children is a non-profit organization founded in 1979 with the mission of ending childhood hunger. In fiscal year 2024, the organization distributed over 80.6 million pounds of food and other essentials, valued at approximately $349.7 million, benefiting more than 10.6 million people in the U.S. The organization operates five distribution centers across the country and works with a network of over 600 community partners. Globally, Feed the Children's programs operate in eight countries across Africa, Asia, and Central America, focusing on sustainable solutions like agricultural training and access to clean water and education. In fiscal year 2024, their international efforts benefited over 2.2 million people and distributed more than 18.2 million meals. The organization is accredited by the BBB Wise Giving Alliance and was ranked by Forbes as the 29th largest charity in the United States in 2022.
