Germany's Let's Dance Season 19
The 19th season of Germany's popular dance competition "Let's Dance" features influencer Betty Taube and Schlager star Anna-Carina in a fresh celebrity lineup. The new season is praised for its dynamic mix that has "captured national attention" and demonstrates what RTL has over ARD and ZDF in dance entertainment.
The 19th season of "Let's Dance" kicked off on February 27, 2026, with a "Kennenlernshow" where the 14 celebrity candidates were paired with their professional dance partners. The season is scheduled to run for approximately three months, with live shows airing Friday nights at 8:15 PM on RTL. The lineup of celebrity contestants spans various fields, including No Angels member Nadja Benaissa, "Tokio Hotel" drummer Gustav Schäfer, moderator Sonya Kraus, and actor Jan Kittmann. Also competing are comedian Simon Gosejohann, "Ninja Warrior" athlete Joel Mattli, and YouTube veteran Bianca Heinicke (BibisBeautyPalace). The judging panel remains consistent with the familiar trio of Joachim Llambi, Motsi Mabuse, and Jorge González. Daniel Hartwich and Victoria Swarovski return as the hosts for the season. This year's professional dancer roster includes the debut of Victoria Sauerwald. Mariia Maksina and Marta Arndt returned after a one-year break. A last-minute change occurred when professional Mikael Tatarkin had to withdraw due to injury and was replaced by Alexandru Ionel. In the opening "getting to know you" show, the celebrities performed in group dances for the first time. Athlete Joel Mattli received a "Direktticket," ensuring his safety from elimination in the first regular show and securing his place in the second week. The season will pause for Good Friday on April 3, 2026.
