San Francisco's hottest restaurant, Wolfsbane, is inspired by folklore and ancient plants – chef Tommy Halvorson offers a unique, seasonal tasting menu [https://abc7.com/post/where-wild-things-dine-inside-wolfsbane-san-franciscos-most-exciting-new-restaurant/18696029].

Wolfsbane is the newest venture from Carrie and Rupert Blease, who previously ran the Michelin-starred Lord Stanley, and Tommy Halvorson, formerly of Serpentine. The restaurant opened in October 2025 in the Dogpatch neighborhood, in the same location that once housed Serpentine. The name "Wolfsbane" comes from folklore, where the plant was used to help werewolves maintain their humanity. The restaurant aims to offer a transformative experience, feeding both the spirit and the body, according to the team. Wolfsbane offers a tasting menu for $248, with beverage pairings available for an additional cost. An à la carte menu is available for walk-ins at the bar. The tasting menu is shaped by the seasons and highlights the bounty of the Bay Area. The restaurant's interior, designed by Seth Boor, features an industrial vibe softened by warm tones, foliage, and golden light. The space includes a main dining room with 18 seats, a private dining room called The Den that seats 20, and an intimate booth area called The Burrow that seats six.
