Munich Hosts Major Design and Motorbike Fairs

Munich is currently hosting two major trade events, INHORGENTA MUNICH and IMOT 2026. INHORGENTA is a trade fair for jewelry, luxury goods, and arts, gathering over 30,000 attendees. Concurrently, the International Motorbike Exhibition, IMOT 2026, is showcasing new motorcycles, accessories, and tourism, highlighting the city's role as a hub for design and lifestyle industries.

- The central theme for INHORGENTA 2026 is "Craftsmanship," highlighted by a new special exhibition titled "The Atelier: The Journey of Jewelry Craftsmanship from Tradition to Innovation." This immersive installation will use AI-generated visuals and mirrored walls to explore the connection between traditional techniques and modern digital design processes. - The fair's speaker series will feature prominent industry leaders, including Laurent Lecamp, Managing Director of Montblanc's watch division, discussing the future of mechanical watchmaking, and Helen Molesworth, Senior Curator of Jewellery at the Victoria and Albert Museum, who will speak on Cartier's passion for stones. - The prestigious INHORGENTA AWARD gala will be held at a new venue, the Bavaria Filmstudios, on February 22, 2026. The ninth edition of the awards will introduce new categories to recognize excellence in retail experiences, named "Goldsmith Studio of the Year" and "Jeweler of the Year." - IMOT 2026, the 33rd edition of the motorcycle show, is expanding its program with new features. These include the IMOT Arena for live-action shows like freestyle motocross and an IMOT Forum for moderated presentations of new products. - Major motorcycle manufacturers including BMW, Ducati, Kawasaki, Honda, Triumph, and Yamaha are confirmed to be present at IMOT, showcasing their latest models and innovations in areas like electric mobility. - A single ticket for IMOT also grants access to two other concurrent events: f.re.e, Bavaria's largest travel and leisure fair, and the Munich Auto Days. - The trade fairs organized by Messe München represent a significant economic driver for the region; in a record year, these events were projected to generate over €5 billion in purchasing power, with approximately 80% of that benefiting Munich and Bavaria directly.
