Flyers Win Third Straight in Shootout

The Philadelphia Flyers extended their winning streak to three games with a 3-2 shootout victory over Toronto — their first shootout win since November. Columbus Blue Jackets forward Kirill Marchenko scored his second goal in overtime to beat the Rangers 5-4 after a furious New York comeback.

The Flyers' third consecutive win improves their record to 28-21-11 on the season. Philadelphia will look to continue its streak when they return home to face the Utah Mammoth. This recent success comes after a period of inconsistency, as it is the first time the Flyers have won two straight games since early January. For the Blue Jackets, the victory over the Rangers places them at 29-21-7 for the season and fifth in the Metropolitan Division standings. Kirill Marchenko's overtime winner was his 20th goal of the season. The 25-year-old winger has been a key offensive contributor for Columbus, tallying 47 points in 51 games. The loss for the Rangers was a setback after a furious comeback attempt. New York's next game will be against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
