Chaska Thai Restaurant Now Open

A new restaurant, Chaska Thai, is now open and serving authentic Thai cuisine in Chaska, Minnesota. The Carver County establishment's opening was announced in late 2025 and is now operational.

- The restaurant is owned by veteran restaurateur Li Ta, who operates two other establishments, Bimi Thai in Hastings and Lily Thai in River Falls, Wisconsin. - Chaska Thai is part of a larger trend of business growth in the city, which saw at least 15 new businesses open in 2025, including Edible India, The Golden Kitchen Mexican Bar & Grill, and several retail shops. - This commercial growth is supported by significant population gains; Carver County is one of the fastest-growing counties in the state and is projected to reach 200,000 residents by 2030. - To accommodate the growth, Carver County has numerous ongoing construction projects, including extensive road and highway improvements and the City Square West redevelopment plan in downtown Chaska, which will add new commercial and residential spaces. - The broader Minnesota construction industry is projected to see a 7.6% labor growth rate through 2032, significantly outpacing the 4.6% average for all other industries. - The demand for construction workers has driven average annual wages in the sector to approximately $88,300, about $14,000 higher than the average for all industries in the state. - Recent and ongoing local developments creating construction management and business development opportunities include the Chaska Yards residential project, which held its grand opening in October 2025. - A key entry point into the business side of construction is through business development roles, which focus on building relationships with general contractors, developers, and engineers to secure new projects.
