After a trade to Baltimore fell through due to concerns over a knee injury, Maxx Crosby has reaffirmed his commitment to the Raiders. The Raiders maintain they never wanted to trade him, but Crosby's frustration over the team's decision to shut him down late in the 2025 season due to a knee injury fueled the initial trade talks. The Ravens backed out of the deal after Crosby's physical, reportedly due to concerns about his repaired torn meniscus. Despite the failed trade, Crosby's agent stated that he is "ahead of schedule" in his recovery and will be ready for the offseason program. Crosby signed a 3-year, $106.5 million extension with the Raiders in March 2025, including $91.5 million guaranteed. His base salaries for 2025 and 2026 were increased and fully guaranteed as part of the extension. In 2026, he will earn a base salary of $30 million.
