CityPickle’s pickleball courts are back at Wollman Rink in Central Park, with the 2026 season starting April 21. (city-pickle.com) The setup turns Wollman Rink into a 14-court outdoor pickleball hub during the non-ice season, and play is scheduled daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. through early fall. (timeout.com) CityPickle says the site offers open play, clinics, leagues, private lessons and court reservations for groups of up to eight players, with paddles available to rent and balls included. (city-pickle.com) The low-cost entry point is a $5 daily open-play session for all levels, and CityPickle lists one-hour instructional clinics at $20. (city-pickle.com) CentralPark.com’s event listing for this week shows off-peak court rentals at $80 an hour and peak pricing at $120 an hour, with peak times covering weekday mornings and evenings and all day Friday through Sunday. (centralpark.com) The Central Park courts are part of a broader spring push to move recreation outdoors across the city. Time Out included the CityPickle stop in its April 20–26 roundup of things to do in New York this week. (timeout.com) This season is CityPickle’s fourth at Wollman Rink, according to Time Out, after the company spent the winter off-site while the rink operated for skating. (timeout.com) The pop-up now sits inside a longer Central Park plan. New York City Parks said in October 2025 that its selected operator would keep the rink as a year-round destination, with 14 pickleball courts open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. in spring, summer and early fall. (nycgovparks.org) CityPickle said in November 2025 that it had secured a 20-year license for pickleball at Wollman Rink during non-ice-skating seasons, after introducing more than 180,000 players to the site over the previous three years. (city-pickle.com) For now, the pitch is simple: reserve a court, join a social game, or try a first lesson in one of the city’s most recognizable park settings. (centralpark.com)
