Woven Solutions Acquires Tech Consultancy Valence
Digital transformation services firm Woven Solutions has announced its acquisition of Valence, a technology consultancy. The deal consolidates expertise in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and data-driven business services. This move reflects an ongoing trend of consolidation within the IT services and digital consulting industry.
This acquisition marks Woven Solutions' third purchase since securing a strategic investment from private equity firm Falfurrias Management Partners in August 2025. The Charlotte-based private equity firm, co-founded by former Bank of America CEO Hugh McColl Jr., has raised $3.6 billion across seven funds and is focused on growing middle-market businesses. Woven Solutions, based in Reston, Virginia, specializes in providing cloud-native software development, cybersecurity, and data solutions to the national security community. This deal follows their recent acquisitions of Cystemic Security, a cyber solutions provider, and Apira Technologies, a developer of tools for cyber and information operations. Valence focuses on integrating commercial technology and best practices into government and defense missions. The firm has developed proprietary frameworks like Valence Playbook for national security campaigns and Valence Fusion for securely incorporating AI into mission-critical operations. The joining of the two companies aims to pair Woven's expertise in mission AI software with Valence's experience in bringing commercial capabilities to the Intelligence Community. Valence co-founder Kyle Waters stated the merger will accelerate the delivery of secure, scalable solutions. The deal also provides Woven with new sole-source prime contracts. This consolidation reflects a broader trend in the IT services market, where artificial intelligence and cybersecurity are driving increased merger and acquisition activity. The global IT consulting market is projected to grow from $126.79 billion in 2026 to $209.99 billion by 2030.
