Pokémon Pokopia has already kicked off its first in-game event, a Hoppip-themed celebration where players can invite Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff to their villages [https://gametyrant.com/news/pokemon-pokopia-hoppip-event-guide]. Players can also unlock new spring furniture during the event. Looks like a good time to jump in!

Pokémon Pokopia, a life-simulation spin-off, was co-developed by Game Freak and Omega Force, and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company for the Nintendo Switch 2. The game was released worldwide on March 5, 2026. The game places you in the role of a Ditto who can transform into a human, tasked with rebuilding a desolate world and helping Pokémon. Gameplay includes crafting and building mechanics, befriending Pokémon, and using their moves to interact with the environment. Shigeru Ohmori, director of *Pokémon Scarlet and Violet*, conceived the game based on the idea of fans cultivating their own Pokémon habitats. Omega Force, known for *Dragon Quest Builders 2*, partnered with Game Freak due to their sandbox game expertise. *Pokopia* features 300 Pokémon from various generations, including starters and legendaries. The game combines elements of *Animal Crossing*, *Minecraft*, and *Dragon Quest Builders*. Initial reception has been highly positive, with many considering it one of the best *Pokémon* spin-offs.
