Wolford Names Marco Pozzo CEO and Chairman
Lanvin Group announced the appointment of Marco Pozzo as the new Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management Board for Wolford AG. The move is intended to advance the restructuring and strategic priorities for the key brand within the global luxury fashion group's portfolio.
Marco Pozzo is an internal promotion, having served as Wolford's Deputy CEO since July 2025. His background includes significant leadership roles at Ermenegildo Zegna, where he managed retail expansion in Greater China, and as CEO of design firm Alessi, where he led a strategic turnaround. The appointment comes at a critical time for the Austrian bodywear brand, which has faced significant business disruptions. In the first half of 2024, Wolford reported a sales drop of 26.7% to €43 million and a 68.1% increase in losses, reaching €26 million. Pozzo's elevation follows a period of leadership instability. The CEO position had been vacant since January 2025, after Régis Rimbert departed following a brief six-month tenure. As Deputy CEO, Pozzo was credited with initiating key restructuring measures to improve the production chain, manage inventory, and reduce time-to-market. His initial appointment as Deputy CEO coincided with a €25 million capital increase in June 2025, led by parent company Lanvin Group, signaling a commitment to financing the brand's turnaround. This move places a seasoned executive with a history in digital transformation and omnichannel strategy at the helm. At Zegna, Pozzo served as Global Retail Operations Director, and at Italian Creation Group, he successfully repositioned the FontanaArte and Driade brands. Wolford is a key asset for Shanghai-based Lanvin Group, which also owns Lanvin, Sergio Rossi, and St. John Knits. The group, which rebranded from Fosun Fashion Group in 2021, is focused on expanding the global footprint of its portfolio of heritage brands, particularly in Asia and North America.
