Paradox Announces Victoria 3 Expansion
Paradox Interactive has announced Volume 3 for *Victoria 3*, its historical society simulation, featuring three major expansion packs. *Hearts of Iron IV* also launched the “Warships of the Pacific” cosmetic pack. These mark significant updates for fans of strategy and simulation gaming.
Volume 3 for *Victoria 3* will include the "Warships Bonus Pack" immediately upon purchase, which features three new battleship designs. The full package costs $47.97, offering a 20% discount compared to purchasing each item separately. The first major expansion in Volume 3, "The Great Wave," is slated for release on April 28, 2026. It will focus on naval mechanics, including a ship designer, flagships, ship purchase treaties, and gunboat diplomacy. Players can also navigate Japan through the late Edo period. Following "The Great Wave" will be "State and Revolution" in Q4 2026, an immersion pack centered on the Russian Empire. Players will guide the Tsar, deal with the Russian Civil War, and shape post-revolutionary Russia. The final announced pack, "Century of Strife," is expected in Q1 2027 and will allow players to shape China through reforms and resist Western encroachment.
