Virtual Coaching and Edtech Platforms Secure New Funding
Several edtech and virtual coaching companies have recently secured new funding, signaling investor confidence in the sector. Kiwi startup Contented raised $3.5 million for expansion, Vybe secured $10 million to bring its coding platform to corporate clients, and TRUCE® Software announced Series B funding to grow its digital engagement tools.
- The $3.5 million raised by Contented was a seed round led by Altered Capital, with participation from Icehouse Ventures, Aspire NZ Seed Fund, K1W1, and Shearwater Capital. The funding will be used to enhance its AI platform, which converts unstructured spoken conversations into documents like meeting minutes and task lists, and to expand its team from five to around 15. - Prior to this funding round, Contented had already acquired over 200 global customers and generated more than $850,000 in annual recurring revenue without external investment. - Vybe's $10 million funding round was led by First Round Capital, Y Combinator, and others to advance its "vibe-coding" platform. This approach allows users to build applications using natural language prompts, making software development more accessible to non-technical individuals. - The corporate expansion of Vybe is part of a larger trend of bringing "vibe-coding" into enterprise settings to accelerate prototyping and the creation of internal tools. - TRUCE® Software's Series B funding round was led by Yttrium, with participation from Allomer Capital Group and New Amsterdam Growth Capital. - The new capital will help TRUCE® Software scale its go-to-market efforts for two newer product suites: an AI video telematics platform for commercial vehicle fleets and a software solution for K-12 schools designed to reduce student phone distractions on campus. - TRUCE®'s school-focused platform aligns with emerging state requirements that restrict phone use for over 25 million middle and high school students during the school day.
