Paris Baguette Opens New Texas Location
The global bakery café chain Paris Baguette opened a new location in Richardson, Texas, on February 27. The opening is part of a broader U.S. expansion for the brand, which has over 4,000 units worldwide.
The new Richardson location is the 25th in Texas for the South Korean bakery giant. Parent company SPC Group has been expanding Paris Baguette aggressively in North America, with plans to reach 1,000 units in the United States and Canada by 2030. The brand's U.S. expansion is supported by a significant investment in a new 260,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Burleson, Texas. This facility, a $160 million investment, is expected to create 450 jobs and begin production in 2027, supplying the growing number of North American cafes. Though it has a French-inspired name and menu, Paris Baguette was founded in South Korea in 1988 by the SPC Group. The company has grown into a global powerhouse with over 4,000 locations worldwide, the majority of which are in South Korea. The Richardson location is owned by franchisees Sweta Goyal, Puneet Mittal, Mamta Singhal, and Rajneesh Singhal, two Dallas-based couples who have a five-unit development agreement with the company. They were longtime customers before deciding to become business owners with the brand. Customers can expect a wide range of offerings, including freshly baked breads, pastries like croissants and danishes, and a variety of cakes, including their Strawberry Soft Cream Cake. The menu also features savory items like sandwiches and salads, and signature items like mochi donuts.
