Polaris Unveils Signature Edition Slingshot
Polaris Slingshot has unveiled an exclusive, limited-run Signature Edition of its three-wheeled vehicle. The new model features advanced technology and premium styling details.
- The Polaris Slingshot was first introduced in 2014 as a 2015 model and is classified as a three-wheeled motorcycle. - For the 2020 model year, Polaris replaced the original GM-sourced 2.4L Ecotec engine with its own 2.0L ProStar four-cylinder engine. That year, an automated manual transmission option, called AutoDrive, was also offered for the first time to appeal to a wider range of drivers. - The Signature Edition is powered by a 2.0L ProStar engine that produces 178 horsepower and can go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 125 mph. - Pricing for the 2022 Signature LE model started at $34,999 for a manual transmission and $36,749 for the AutoDrive version. - Exclusive features for the Signature LE include a tri-tone paint scheme, a vented sport hood, interior XKGlow lighting, and heated and cooled seats. - The infotainment system includes a 7-inch display powered by RIDE COMMAND, which features Apple CarPlay and GPS navigation. - Prior to a major revamp in 2020, sales of the Slingshot had been declining for 13 of the previous 14 quarters. - The global market for three-wheeled motorcycles was valued at $1.4 billion in 2024, with North America accounting for 54.3% of the market share.
