OP Labs ships privacy SDK on OP Stack

Sunnyside Labs has launched Privacy Boost on OP Mainnet, adding a drop-in privacy toolkit for apps built on the OP Stack. Sunnyside says that setup delivers proof generation in under 500 milliseconds. (sunnyside.io) The company says the system is built for “compliance-compatible” use, with programmable audit access and TRM Labs integration for sanctions screening. Sunnyside also says users can force withdrawals rather than rely entirely on an operator. (sunnyside.io) That matters on public blockchains because balances, transfer amounts, and counterparties are usually visible to anyone. Privacy Boost is aimed at teams that want Ethereum-based settlement without exposing customer or treasury activity by default. In January, Optimism introduced OP Enterprise, a managed offering for companies that want to launch on OP Mainnet first or graduate to their own chain later. (optimism.io) A second announcement followed on April 28: Startale Group said it selected Privacy Boost as the official privacy partner for Startale App, the consumer entry point to Sony Block Solutions Labs’ Soneium network. (startale.com) Startale said Privacy Boost will be deployed natively on Soneium and integrated into the app through its software kit. The planned features include shielding assets into private pools, private transfers, and privacy-preserving payment flows for a future crypto card. It called this Privacy Boost’s first consumer-facing application integration. (startale.com) The backdrop is a fast-expanding OP Stack ecosystem. Optimism said in its 2024 year-in-review post that the Superchain had grown to more than 30 chains, including Soneium, with nearly half of Ethereum Layer 2 transactions running through that network.
