London previews David Hockney works

London previews David Hockney works opening this week.

The Royal Academy is showcasing Hockney's landscape paintings. These works were created after Hockney's return to Yorkshire. The exhibition focuses on his large-scale depictions of the Yorkshire Wolds. Hockney moved back to his native county in the late 1990s. Hockney embraced new technology for these paintings, using iPads to sketch landscapes. These digital sketches then informed his larger canvases.
