Trader Joe's Frozen Food Recall
Trader Joe’s expanded its nationwide recall of frozen vegetable fried rice and other foods due to contamination [https://greenmatters.com/news/trader-joes-vegetable-fried-rice-recall], [https://kiro7.com/news/trending/recall-alert-fried-rice-ramen-dumpling-recall-expanded-includes-certain-lots-regardless-dates/PNE6MKMHNBHITBQLWXB4KKJZZA].
The recall was triggered by the potential presence of Listeria monocytogenes. This bacteria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, especially in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Symptoms of Listeria infection can include high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Healthy individuals may only experience short-term symptoms, but Listeria can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women. The recalled products include Trader Joe's Vegetable Fried Rice, Chicken Fried Rice, and Shrimp Fried Rice. The expanded recall now includes certain lots regardless of their date codes.
