The musical "Homecoming Queen" begins previews today at the August Wilson Theatre. It's about a Black college student navigating identity and relationships during homecoming week. "The Nightingale," a new musical starring Shoshana Bean, is also set to begin previews in spring 2026. The production is an adaptation of the fairytale by Hans Christian Andersen. A revival of "The Wiz" is scheduled to open this season. Alan Cumming will star in "Hamlet," while Audra McDonald will appear in "Kiss Me, Kate".
