Agentic E-Commerce Startup ZyG Raises $58M

ZyG, a platform using agentic e-commerce to help solo inventors compete with global brands, has landed $58 million. The round shows continued VC appetite for platforms that democratize access to global commerce and supply chain infrastructure for individual creators.

The $58M seed round for Israeli AI startup ZyG was led by a trio of top-tier venture capital firms: Bessemer Venture Partners, Viola Ventures, and Lightspeed Venture Partners. The round also saw participation from Disruptive AI, Emerge, Access Industries, Stardom Ventures, and Jibe Ventures. ZyG's founding team has a significant track record, comprised of former executives from the mobile monetization platform ironSource, including Tomer Bar-Zeev and Omer Kaplan. They are joined by artificial intelligence and cybersecurity experts from the Israeli military's elite Unit 81. The company aims to tackle the high failure rate of new direct-to-consumer (DTC) products, where over 90% fail to achieve large-scale success. ZyG's CEO, Omer Kaplan, notes that inventors often lack the specialized expertise in marketing, data science, and capital strategy required to scale their brands. ZyG's platform functions as an "Agentic Operating System," using AI agents to predict a product's market potential before launch. For products with a high "ZyG Score," the company partners with the creator to manage everything from brand creation and digital marketing to logistics and customer acquisition. This partnership operates on a "pay-as-you-grow" model, where ZyG takes a fixed percentage of revenue, allowing founders to retain full ownership of their intellectual property. The model is designed to reduce the financial risks for entrepreneurs, particularly the heavy upfront costs associated with advertising. With the new capital, ZyG intends to enhance its AI-powered platform, expand its predictive analytics capabilities, and grow its partnerships with DTC brands across the United States and Europe.
