Queens Announce Catacombs Tour
Queens of the Stone Age announced their 2026 U.S. "Catacombs Tour", offering fans across the country a chance to see the celebrated rock act live. Tour dates and cities haven't been fully detailed yet.
The "Catacombs Tour" follows the band's eighth studio album, "In Times New Roman...", which was released on June 16, 2023. The album was seen by critics as a raw and dark offering, with lyrics from frontman Josh Homme described as his most acerbic to date. This tour's theme may connect to their recent EP, "Alive in the Catacombs," which featured reimagined live recordings of their songs. That release saw the band stripping down their sound, augmented by a string section and using unconventional percussion like chains and chopsticks, all recorded in single takes without overdubs. "In Times New Roman..." marked the end of a trilogy of albums released on the Matador Records label, which started with "...Like Clockwork" in 2013 and was followed by "Villains" in 2017. The album was recorded at Homme’s own Pink Duck Studios and Rick Rubin's Shangri-La studio. Fans can likely expect to see the band's long-standing lineup on this tour. Founder Josh Homme is joined by Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, Dean Fertita, and Jon Theodore, a consistent lineup since 2013.
