TikTok Shop expands in Europe

TikTok Shop is preparing to launch in Poland, the Netherlands and Belgium, which would bring the service to nine European countries if the hires and signals reported are correct. TikTok Shop is lining up launches in Poland, the Netherlands and Belgium, according to job postings and seller pages that point to a near-term rollout. (ecommercenews.eu) The clearest signals are hiring ads for a “strategic readiness team” focused on “Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Nordic countries,” plus customer-solutions roles that require Dutch or Polish. Seller account pages for Dutch, Polish and Belgian markets have also been created but are not yet live. (ecommercenews.eu) If those three markets open, TikTok Shop would reach nine European countries. The service is already live in the United Kingdom, Spain, Ireland, France, Italy and Germany, after TikTok said on March 31, 2025 that it was expanding into France, Italy and Germany following launches in Spain and Ireland in December 2024. A European Parliament briefing published in 2025 said concerns around TikTok in Europe include data protection violations, addictive design, election interference and child-safety risks.
