Area 75 FPS Listed on Steam
A new FPS multiplayer title called Area 75 is now listed as "coming soon" on Steam. While details remain scarce, the upcoming release is drawing attention from shooter fans eager for fresh multiplayer experiences. The Steam page suggests it's positioning itself in the competitive FPS space.
Contrary to its initial perception as a multiplayer shooter, Area 75 is a story-driven, third-person survival horror game. The narrative follows protagonist Rick Gerrison through a secret military laboratory where experiments with dark matter have gone wrong. The game is the project of a solo developer, Mezey KrisztiƔn, with publishing handled by Stormdevil Productions. Development is being done in Unreal Engine 5, with a demo having been created in Unreal Engine 4. The expected release date is noted as "Coming soon," with one source pointing towards early 2026. Gameplay will focus on survival and scavenging for weapons and resources while facing off against monsters. The story will be a key component, with the player uncovering the lab's secrets and receiving information from companions via radio. The main character is described as the only person who can use special powers, with user tags on Steam suggesting abilities like time manipulation and bullet time. A unique feature of the game will be its audio presentation, offering full Hungarian voice acting performed by amateur actors, accompanied by English subtitles. The game will require 50 GB of storage space, and the recommended specs for 1080p at 60 FPS include an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 6600.
