$YO Protocol Airdrop Goes Live
The $YO protocol launched on Ethereum with $60.65M TVL and 100M tokens available for early users through getyo.icu. Multiple posts are promoting it as a "yield engine" with real DeFi utility, marking another major airdrop opportunity in the Ethereum ecosystem. The protocol is being heavily promoted across crypto social media as having genuine yield-generating features.
- The $YO token has a total supply of 1 billion, with 8% (80 million tokens) allocated to the "Genesis Airdrop" for early users. The distribution also includes 30% for community growth, 24% for core contributors, 21.5% for ecosystem development, and 16.5% for early investors. - The airdrop is a reward for users who deposited into YO vaults or participated in other supported DeFi activities during the now-concluded "YO Points program". - Eligible users can claim their tokens by connecting their wallets on the Base network through the official claim page. The claim window is open from February 5th, 2026, to May 6th, 2026. - In its initial phase, the $YO token will be non-transferable to encourage participation in governance. A governance vote by token holders will be required to enable transferability in the future. - The development team behind the protocol, YO Labs, was co-founded by Mehdi Lebbar and Driss Benamour, both of whom have previous experience at Uber. - YO Labs has raised a total of $24 million in funding, which includes a $10 million Series A round led by Foundation Capital with participation from Coinbase Ventures, Scribble Ventures, and Launchpad Capital. A previous seed round was led by Paradigm. - The protocol is designed to be a multi-chain yield optimizer that automatically rebalances users' deposited assets across more than 50 DeFi protocols to find the best risk-adjusted returns. - The system utilizes a "Risk Adjusted Yield" metric, which calculates a probability of default based on numerous risk factors, such as a protocol's age and audit history, rather than just chasing the highest advertised yields.
