TECNO to Unveil AI-Powered Phones at MWC

TECNO's presence at Mobile World Congress has consistently focused on bringing high-end features to its core markets. Last year, at MWC 2025, the company unveiled the CAMON 40 series, which already incorporated AI features, particularly in its camera with "One-Tap FlashSnap" for clearer and faster photos. That series included models like the CAMON 40 Premier 5G, which featured three 50MP lenses and 70W fast charging. The company's AI strategy, termed "Practical AI," was introduced in 2024 and focuses on enhancing productivity and creativity for users in emerging markets. In 2025 alone, TECNO's AI assistant, Ella, processed over 500 million requests, with a significant portion related to image processing and in non-English languages. This indicates a strong user base for the AI features that the CAMON 50 series is expected to build upon. The upcoming CAMON 50 series is said to feature a dedicated AI computing architecture paired with Sony camera hardware. New announced features include "Super-Zoom FlashSnap" for high-speed captures without shutter lag and "AI Auto Zoom" for intelligent subject framing. This aligns with TECNO's ongoing efforts to advance its mobile photography capabilities. Beyond the smartphone, TECNO's growing AI ecosystem includes laptops, smart wearables, and AI-powered glasses. At MWC 2026, the company will also showcase OneLeap, its upgraded solution for seamless connectivity and data transfer between its devices. A new strategic partnership with Tonino Lamborghini will also be officially announced at the event. This collaboration is expected to result in a co-created lineup of devices, including a gaming mini-PC and a limited edition POVA smartphone, blending TECNO's technology with the iconic design language of the Italian brand.
