The students focused on Roaring River State Park’s River Trail, which is heavily used and prone to erosion. They installed steps and switchbacks to improve the trail's sustainability and accessibility. This Alternative Spring Break program is an annual initiative at Penn State Behrend, giving students opportunities for community service and experiential learning. The program encourages students to engage in projects that have a positive impact. Roaring River State Park is one of Missouri's most popular parks, known for its trout fishing and natural beauty. Improved trail conditions enhance the experience for all visitors.
