Staffing Firms Using AI Report Stronger Growth
A Bullhorn GRID survey of nearly 2,300 recruitment professionals found a strong correlation between AI adoption and business performance. Staffing and recruitment firms that have implemented AI technologies reported stronger revenue growth and faster candidate placements compared to their peers who have not.
- Top-performing recruitment firms are four times more likely to leverage AI, with 78% of firms that grew revenue by over 25% using AI tools embedded in their applicant tracking systems. - The operational impact is significant, as 55% of firms report that AI-powered screening alone improved key performance indicators by more than 25%, while 46% said it cut screening time by at least half. - Beyond recruiting, government contractors are using AI to parse complex Requests for Proposals (RFPs), analyze past successful bids to create more compliant proposals, and automate the tracking of contract deliverables and requirements. - This aligns with the Department of Defense's Data, Analytics, and AI Adoption Strategy, which aims to use AI for "efficient enterprise business operations" alongside improving warfighting capabilities. - The DoD's Chief Digital and AI Office (CDAO) established an AI Rapid Capabilities Cell to accelerate AI adoption and is investing in small businesses, including $40 million for new companies working on Generative AI through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. - To streamline the acquisition process for small tech companies, the DoD has launched platforms like the Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace, designed to fast-track procurement of AI/ML, data, and digital analytics solutions. - Despite clear performance gains, broad adoption remains in early stages; only 10% of firms have implemented advanced "agentic AI" across their full workflow, often citing concerns around data security and a lack of clear implementation strategy.
