Megan and Cardi Reunite

Megan Thee Stallion brought out Cardi B for a surprise live performance of "WAP" during her Houston show. The moment put to rest rumors of a rift between the two stars and reignited excitement for their ongoing friendship and future collaborations.

Their 2020 hit "WAP" debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and shattered records with 93 million streams in its first week, the most ever for a track's debut. The song, celebrated for its sex-positive message, was named the best song of 2020 by publications like Rolling Stone and NPR. The duo followed up their massive success with a second collaboration, "Bongos," released in September 2023. While not reaching the same chart-topping heights as its predecessor, the track further solidified their musical partnership. Rumors of a falling out circulated after Megan's split from songwriter Pardison Fontaine, a frequent collaborator of Cardi B's. Cardi B publicly addressed the speculation, stating she remained neutral and on good terms with both individuals. The Houston reunion took place at the Toyota Center during Cardi B's "Little Miss Drama Tour" on March 4, 2026. Cardi introduced Megan as "Houston's finest" before they launched into their joint hits. This surprise appearance was a returned favor from a similar event in May 2024, when Cardi B joined Megan Thee Stallion on her "Hot Girl Summer Tour" stop at Madison Square Garden in New York. Following the Houston show, the rappers shared a friendly backstage selfie on social media. Cardi B reposted the picture with the caption, "I love you so so so so so soooooo much!!" Megan has expressed enthusiasm for future projects, suggesting they have enough material for a mini-album or a joint EP. She has also floated the idea of a mutual tour with Cardi B.
