Google unveils Gemini Omni and Antigravity 2.0

Google used I/O on May 19 and May 20 to show that its next AI phase is less about chat windows and more about software that acts on a user’s behalf. At the conference in Mountain View, California, the company introduced Gemini Omni, Gemini 3.5 Flash and Google Antigravity 2.0, and tied them to updates across Search, the Gemini app and developer tools. Google DeepMind CTO Koray Kavukcuoglu said Gemini Omni is a new model family that can “create anything from any input,” starting with video. Google said the first release is Gemini Omni Flash, which accepts images, audio, video and text as input and generates video output grounded in Gemini’s real-world knowledge.
