The survey assembles more than 150 sculptures, photographs, drawings, films and archival items drawn from the Centre Pompidou and other public and private international collections. (museumsportal-berlin.de) The show was curated jointly by Klaus Biesenbach and Maike Steinkamp for the Neue Nationalgalerie alongside Ariane Coulondre and Valérie Loth from the Centre Pompidou, with Nikola Richolt credited as curatorial assistant. (museumsportal-berlin.de) A partial reconstruction of Brâncuși’s Paris studio—bequeathed to the French state in 1957 and now part of the Centre Pompidou’s holdings—is travelling outside Paris for the first time and will present the artist’s tools, furniture and documentary material as a central installation. (centrepompidou.fr) Highlighted works in the press pack and catalogue include Sleeping Muse, The Kiss, Bird in Space, Endless Column, Mlle Pogány, Princesse X and Le Nouveau‑Né II. (smb.museum) The exhibition is a co‑production between the Neue Nationalgalerie and the Centre Pompidou and forms part of the Pompidou’s Constellation programme that stages shows offsite during the museum’s renovation. (smb.museum) Organisers link the presentation to broader 2026 commemorations for Brâncuși’s 150th birth anniversary, a nationally designated “Brâncuși Year” accompanied by international exhibitions and projects coordinated by Romanian cultural institutions.
