Guardforce AI Extends Partnership with Global Sportswear Brand

The extended partnership will see Guardforce AI deploy its smart retail solutions at five additional retail locations for the major sportswear brand in 2026, with another installation scheduled for 2027. This builds on a previous deployment at two of the brand's stores and the installation of AI camera systems in 13 other stores in 2025. Guardforce AI's smart retail solution combines AI-powered CCTV analytics with RFID-based inventory management. This integrated system is designed to improve operational efficiency, enhance security, reduce inventory errors, and optimize store layouts to increase sales. It also allows for the correlation of foot traffic with sales performance, providing valuable data for retailers. The move is part of a broader trend of AI adoption within Thailand's retail and e-commerce sector. Thai retailers are increasingly using AI for personalized marketing, demand forecasting, and improved customer engagement through tools like chatbots. The country's AI e-commerce market is currently valued at approximately USD 5 billion. This expansion aligns with Guardforce AI's strategic pivot toward applied AI solutions in Thailand. The company's recent activities include launching an AI robotic solution called 'LinguaBot' and securing multi-million dollar contracts with Thailand's Government Savings Bank. Regionally, these developments are taking place as ASEAN member states work towards harmonizing AI governance. In February 2024, the bloc endorsed the "ASEAN Guide on AI Governance and Ethics" to provide a framework for the responsible design and deployment of AI. This was followed by the establishment of a Working Group on AI Governance and the ASEAN AI Safety Network to coordinate policies and standards.
