The Houston reunion took place during Cardi B's "Little Miss Drama Tour" at a sold-out Toyota Center on March 4, 2026. Megan, a Houston native, emerged from a trap door on the stage, to the surprise and excitement of the hometown crowd. Rumors of a feud between the two artists have circulated, partly fueled by Megan's previous collaboration with Nicki Minaj, a known rival of Cardi B. Another instance involved Megan allegedly liking a negative YouTube comment about Cardi, which she publicly denied, stating, "I don't like drama I do not bring other females down stop trying to start fake beef." Their 2020 collaboration "WAP" was a cultural phenomenon and a massive commercial success. The track debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, breaking the record for the largest opening streaming week for a song in U.S. history with 93 million streams. It was the first female rap collaboration to debut in the top spot. The song's explicit lyrics and sexually empowering message generated widespread discussion and controversy, leading to over 1,000 complaints filed with the Federal Communications Commission after their 2021 Grammy Awards performance. Despite the backlash, publications like Rolling Stone and NPR named it the best song of 2020. This wasn't their first on-stage reunion since the song's release.
