Vantiq and SmartGate Partner on AI Orchestration

Vantiq and SmartGate have announced a strategic partnership to bring real-time AI orchestration to major enterprises in South Korea. The collaboration will target the manufacturing, healthcare, smart city, and logistics sectors.

The partnership taps into South Korea's rapidly growing AI market, with the country's AI orchestration market alone projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 28.4% between 2026 and 2033, reaching an expected revenue of US$3,359.7 million by 2033. This venture will leverage Vantiq's real-time, event-driven architecture to develop specialized AI applications. SmartGate, an IT solutions partner in South Korea specializing in network, security, and infrastructure, will integrate its industry-specific expertise with Vantiq's platform. The collaboration aims to move beyond simple data analysis to create intelligent systems that can act on events as they happen. SmartGate CEO Kim Min-woo noted the partnership will be a turning point for the company's competitiveness and a cornerstone for providing differentiated real-time AI services. Vantiq, led by CEO Marty Sprinzen, who previously co-founded Forte Software and sold it for over $1 billion, provides a platform that orchestrates AI, edge computing, and IoT systems to automate responses to real-time events. The company has existing deployments in smart cities, healthcare, and disaster response in markets like Japan and the US. The collaboration will initially focus on developing applications for key South Korean industries including manufacturing, utilities, bio and pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and distribution. This aligns with the broader trend of accelerated industrial AI adoption in South Korea, particularly in the manufacturing and electronics sectors for applications like predictive maintenance and smart production scheduling. Vantiq has been actively expanding its presence in the Asia-Pacific region. This partnership follows other strategic collaborations in South Korea, including one with Etevers, backed by Samsung and LG, to focus on the healthcare and public sectors. The joint effort aims to build and deploy advanced AI applications that can manage and automate complex operations. For example, in a smart city context, this technology can integrate data from various sources like flood sensors, satellite imagery, and social media to automate emergency alerts and guide evacuations.
