Shinedown Hits #1 on Rock Charts

Shinedown's latest single "Searchlight" just hit #1 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay Chart, reflecting sustained momentum for the band. The achievement confirms their continued appeal among rock radio listeners and maintains their chart dominance. This marks another successful single in their ongoing career streak.

This latest chart-topper, "Searchlight," marks Shinedown's 22nd No. 1 single on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. The achievement further extends their record for the most number-one songs in the history of the chart, which was first launched in 1981. The band with the second-most No. 1s on the chart is Three Days Grace. The band's long history of chart dominance began with their first-ever chart-topper, "Save Me," from their 2005 album *Us and Them*. Since then, all of their 34 singles released in the format have reached the top five. "Searchlight" is a single from their upcoming eighth studio album, titled *EI8HT*, which is scheduled for release on May 29. Other singles from the forthcoming album include "Three Six Five," "Dance, Kid, Dance," and "Killing Fields." The band's previous album, *Planet Zero*, was released on July 1, 2022, and was their seventh studio album. That album also featured a No. 1 single with its title track. The album was produced by the band's bassist, Eric Bass. Shinedown is scheduled to embark on a U.S. tour in May to support the new album. The tour is set to begin on May 13 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and will include a stop at the Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival.
