TLM Acquires Development Firm SimplyPHP
Canadian technology firm TLM has acquired SimplyPHP, a provider of senior PHP development and staff augmentation services. Tequity Advisors acted as the exclusive financial advisor to SimplyPHP in the transaction. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2010 by Tony Capozzi and Raph Leroux, SimplyPHP carved out a niche in providing senior-level PHP development talent, primarily to an international clientele. The co-founders aimed to offer a more personalized and communicative experience than what they had encountered with other outsourced development firms. The acquirer, TLM, is a Canadian technology product development company established in 2003 by Robi and Bhaskor Guha. Starting as a small startup, TLM has grown to over 100 employees with offices on two continents, specializing in building scalable software products across various technologies, including SaaS, AI, mobile, and IoT. The acquisition is a strategic move for TLM to broaden its footprint in North America and solidify its position as a key technology partner for businesses. For SimplyPHP, the new ownership was chosen to ensure the continued service for its clients and support for its employees. Under the new structure, SimplyPHP will continue to operate independently. Bhaskor Guha, co-founder and Vice President at TLM, has been appointed as the new CEO of SimplyPHP, indicating a hands-on approach from the acquiring company's leadership. SimplyPHP's co-founders, Tony Capozzi and Raph Leroux, will stay on for a transitional period to ensure a smooth handover.
