Unanet highlights FedRAMP and AI push

Unanet published a Q1 recap this week emphasizing AI‑first product expansion and newly achieved FedRAMP status as it grows in regulated, project‑driven markets. The company framed FedRAMP plus AI capabilities as a driver for business with government and other regulated customers. (prnewswire.com)

Unanet used its first-quarter 2026 update to put two points at the center of its pitch: new artificial intelligence features and FedRAMP security status for government work. (lelezard.com) The company said on April 13, 2026 that its quarter included product launches, partnerships and customer wins across government contracting, architecture, engineering and construction, and other project-based markets. Unanet says more than 4,000 organizations use its software. (lelezard.com) (unanet.com) FedRAMP, short for the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, is the federal government’s standard process for checking cloud security. The program’s marketplace lists more than 500 authorized services and says it provides a government-wide approach to security assessment. (fedramp.gov) (gsa.gov) Unanet’s government-contracting enterprise resource planning product reached FedRAMP Moderate Equivalency on January 14, 2026, after the company said an independent assessor validated it against National Institute of Standards and Technology 800-53 controls. Unanet said the same product had reached FedRAMP Ready status on September 22, 2025. (unanet.com 1) (unanet.com 2) The FedRAMP Marketplace page for Unanet’s cloud offering shows a Moderate impact level and a FedRAMP Ready package, not a federal authorization to operate. That matches Unanet’s wording around “Moderate Equivalency,” which is separate from the marketplace statuses of Preparation, Agency In Process, FedRAMP In Process, FedRAMP Authorized, or Remediation. (fedramp.gov) Unanet is tying that compliance message to new artificial intelligence tools aimed at proposal writing, workflow automation and data retrieval. Its ProposalAI page says customers can generate proposal drafts 70% faster and run the product in a private cloud trained on the Federal Acquisition Regulation and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement. (unanet.com) The company has also been pushing a broader “AI-first” strategy around Champ AI, which Unanet describes as a natural-language platform that can answer questions, automate multi-step tasks and route work across business systems. In a March 31, 2026 release, Unanet said that strategy won an Artificial Intelligence Excellence Award from The Business Intelligence Group. (prnewswire.com) For government contractors, the sales pitch is that one software stack can help with project accounting, proposal work and compliance demands tied to Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement rules. Unanet said in January it plans to pursue FedRAMP Moderate Equivalency for CRM GovCon, GovIntel and ProposalAI by the second half of 2026. (unanet.com) That leaves Unanet trying to win in a crowded market by pairing security credentials with automation claims. Its quarter-end message was that regulated customers will buy both at once, not one without the other. (lelezard.com)
