Ty Dolla $ign R&B EP

The six-track *girl music vol. 1* marks a deliberate return to Ty Dolla $ign's R&B roots, a sound he moved away from in recent years. The concept for the EP was sparked during a dinner in New York City where a DJ's set inspired him to create music specifically for female listeners. The project features collaborations that span generations of R&B, including a track with legendary Isley Brothers frontman Ronald Isley. This release is Ty Dolla $ign's first solo project since his 2025 album *TYCOON* and he has already teased that this is just the first volume. Leon Thomas, featured on the track "miss u 2," is signed to Ty's EZMNY Records and is a formidable songwriter in his own right. He recently won a Grammy Award for Best R&B Song for co-writing SZA's hit "Snooze" and also contributed to Drake's album *Certified Lover Boy*. The Juvenile and Megan Thee Stallion track is a remix of Juvenile's viral hit "B.B.B.," connecting two eras of Southern hip-hop. The original song gained significant traction with millennial audiences on social media, prompting the collaboration ahead of Juvenile's upcoming album *The Boiling Point*. Quality Control artist Lakeyah, a Milwaukee native, was named to the XXL Freshman Class in 2021. She first gained widespread attention in 2019 after her take on a City Girls' "First Day Out" challenge went viral online. Naomi Sharon is the first female artist signed to Drake's OVO Sound label. Her new single "Miss That" was co-produced by Jordan Ullman of Majid Jordan and is the lead single for her next album. Her 2025 EP, *The Only Love We Know*, earned a nomination for an Edison Award, a prestigious Dutch music prize.
