New Water Filtration Systems for Kitchens Debut

At the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, iSpring Water Systems is showcasing a range of water filtration solutions designed for modern kitchen remodels. The products are being marketed as an integral part of a health-conscious home.

The focus on in-home water filtration at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show is part of a larger "wellness" trend in home design, which also includes innovations in steam cooking, smart refrigeration, and integrated technology aimed at health-conscious living. Many under-sink systems utilize reverse osmosis (RO), a process that forces water through a semipermeable membrane. This method is highly effective at removing a wide range of contaminants including heavy metals like lead and arsenic, chemicals such as chlorine and fluoride, and dissolved solids. This type of filtration can eliminate up to 99% of contaminants, significantly improving the taste and odor of tap water. While Fremont's municipal water meets federal legal standards, recent tests show it contains contaminants that exceed stricter health guidelines. These include disinfection byproducts (like chloroform), chromium-6 (the "Erin Brockovich chemical"), and nitrates, all of which are colorless, odorless, and tasteless. iSpring Water Systems, founded in 2007, is a Georgia-based company that designs and distributes its systems from the US using globally sourced components. The company specializes in systems designed for do-it-yourself installation, aiming to make water filtration more accessible and affordable for consumers.
