Capital Factory Expands in Austin
Austin's Capital Factory launched STATION Austin, an initiative to boost dual-use tech entrepreneurship with national security applications.
The STATION Austin program will offer mentorship, resources, and a collaborative environment for startups focusing on technologies like AI, cybersecurity, and space tech. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between the tech sector and the needs of national security. Capital Factory is partnering with the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Space Force, and the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) on STATION Austin. This collaboration will provide participating startups with access to potential government contracts and partnerships. The Texas Military Preparedness Commission has supported Capital Factory's initiatives with over $2.3 million in grant funding. These funds have been used to expand Capital Factory's facilities and programs, including STATION Austin.
