OnPoint AI to Showcase Surgical Platform

OnPoint AI will present its augmented reality and machine learning surgical guidance platform at an upcoming conference. The company announced its participation in the 2026 Canaccord Genuity Musculoskeletal Conference. OnPoint AI develops software-driven surgical systems using AR and AI.

OnPoint AI's flagship product is the OnPoint AR Spine System, which has received FDA 510(k) clearance. The system superimposes virtual surgical guides and implants directly onto the surgeon's view of the patient's spine. This is achieved through a proprietary see-through optical head-mounted display. The company emphasizes that its technology offers several advantages over existing systems. The head-mounted display is significantly lighter—4 to 10 times—and provides 2 to 4 times greater resolution than competing augmented reality systems used in spinal procedures. Preclinical studies have shown its accuracy in placing pedicle screws to be 2 to 5 times greater than major existing navigation, robotic, and AR systems. Unlike many robotic surgical systems, OnPoint's platform is designed to be an open platform, compatible with implants from various major manufacturers. Surgeons have noted that it integrates into their existing workflow without requiring changes in surgical technique and, importantly, allows them to retain tactile feedback, a sense that is lost with some robotic systems. The Canaccord Genuity Musculoskeletal Conference is an annual event that brings together industry leaders, investors, and companies to discuss innovations in orthopedics, robotic surgery, and other enabling technologies. OnPoint AI's presentation will be delivered by Chairman and CEO Philipp Lang, MD, and CFO Grace Connelly.
