Pokémon GO is bringing back four Gigantamax bosses on Saturday, April 25, in a three-hour local event built around Max Battles. (pokemon.com) Gigantamax Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, and Gengar will appear from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time at designated Power Spots, the in-game locations used for Max Battles. Players need teams of Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon to join those fights. (pokemon.com) Niantic is stacking the event around resource collection: the Max Particle cap rises to 1,600, Power Spots will refresh more often, additional Power Spots will go live, and Power Spots will give 8× Max Particles. On April 25, players also get 2× Max Particles from exploring and one-quarter the usual walking distance to earn them until 5:00 p.m. local time. (pokemon.com) Max Battles are Pokémon GO’s large-group battles for Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon, and this event concentrates them into one afternoon at every Power Spot. Pokémon GO Hub’s weekly schedule lists the replay as the headline Max Battle event for the April 20-26 week. (pokemon.com) (pokemongohub.net) The “Replay” label signals that these Kanto Gigantamax fights are returning rather than debuting for the first time. That gives players another shot at bosses that require local coordination and stronger battle rosters than standard raids. (pokemongohub.net) (pokemon.com) There is also a paid track. A US$4.99 ticket unlocks timed research available during the event window, with rewards of one Max Mushroom, 25,000 experience points, and 6,400 Max Particles, plus double experience from Max Battles. (pokemon.com) (pokemongohub.net) Outside the ticket, all players get up to three Special Trades for the day. The daily Remote Raid limit also rises from 10 to 20 from April 24 at 5:00 p.m. to April 25 at 8:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time, although the featured Gigantamax encounters themselves are tied to Power Spots. (pokemon.com) (pokemongohub.net) For players meeting up in Cupertino or other local hotspots, the practical window is short: three hours, local time, with particles, trades, and battle-ready Dynamax teams doing most of the work. By Saturday afternoon, the event is either done or missed. (pokemon.com) (pokemongohub.net)
