Hades 2 joins Game Pass

Hades 2 is landing on Microsoft Game Pass on April 14, giving subscribers immediate access to the roguelite sequel without a separate purchase. (The Game Pass arrival for Hades 2 was posted in the gaming social chatter today.) (x.com)

Hades II hits Xbox Game Pass on April 14, putting Supergiant Games’ sequel on Microsoft’s subscription service the day it reaches Xbox. (news.xbox.com) Microsoft said the game launches April 14 for Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox on personal computer, and Xbox Cloud, and it will support Xbox Play Anywhere. Xbox Wire said the Xbox version includes all post-launch patches released on other platforms. (news.xbox.com) Xbox added Hades II to its April 2026 Wave 1 Game Pass lineup on April 7, listing it for Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard on release day. Xbox’s “Next Week on Xbox” post on April 10 also listed the game at $29.99 before subscription access. (news.xbox.com 1) (news.xbox.com 2) Hades II is Supergiant’s first sequel, and it spent more than a year in public testing before this Xbox rollout. The studio launched the game in Early Access on Steam and the Epic Games Store on May 6, 2024. (supergiantgames.com) The full version, labeled v1.0, arrived on September 25, 2025, on Steam, the Epic Games Store, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch. Supergiant’s FAQ says the Xbox release follows that launch rather than arriving during Early Access. (supergiantgames.com 1) (supergiantgames.com 2) That timing gives Game Pass subscribers the finished game, not the work-in-progress build early personal computer players bought in 2024. Xbox’s March 26 announcement called the April 14 edition “its most complete form ever.” (news.xbox.com) (supergiantgames.com) The original Hades became one of the most decorated action games of 2020, and the sequel keeps the same run-based structure while shifting the lead role to Melinoë, Princess of the Underworld. Microsoft’s store page describes the new campaign as a fight against the Titan of Time. (xbox.com) For Microsoft, the release adds another recognizable indie game to a month that already included Final Fantasy IV, South of Midnight, and Commandos: Origins in the first April wave. For Supergiant, it opens Hades II to subscribers on console, personal computer, and cloud on the same date: April 14. (news.xbox.com 1) (news.xbox.com 2)
